Hi, my name is Alexis Antonio Bermúdez infrastructure specialist by profession, astrophotographer by passion. Photography has been my creative sanctuary since the mid 2000’s, when my curiosity blossomed into a passion fueled by hours of diving into photography books and experimenting with my trusty Canon Rebel XT at the time.

Growing up amidst the breathtaking beaches and majestic mountains of Puerto Rico, my early work naturally focused on capturing the vibrant landscapes that surrounded me. Over time, I ventured into the worlds of portrait and nature photography, exploring new perspectives and honing my craft. But it was the allure of the night sky—an endless canvas of mystery and wonder—that truly captured my soul.

In 2015, I embarked on an exhilarating journey into astrophotography, a pursuit that challenges both my skills and my patience to this day. The steep learning curve, the intricate blend of photography, astronomy, mechanics, math, and the scarcity of cloudless nights have only deepened my commitment to this art.

Inspired by the words of Carl Sagan, part of my image collection is a tribute to the wonders of the cosmos. Through each image, we set sail beyond the night sky, capturing the beauty of the universe.

“Exploration is in our nature. We began as wanderers, and we are wanderers still…” — Carl Sagan
